The Coral Coast region of Western Australia is known for its stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, and abundant marine life. Here are some interesting facts about this beautiful area:

1. The Ningaloo Reef, located in the Coral Coast region, is the only place in the world where you can swim with whale sharks right off the beach.

2. The nearby Cape Range National Park boasts spectacular gorges, canyons, and limestone caves to explore.

3. Monkey Mia, located in Shark Bay, is one of the few places in Australia where you can see bottlenose dolphins up close and even feed them by hand.

4. The town of Carnarvon, on the southern edge of the Coral Coast region, is famous for its bananas, which are grown all year round due to its warm tropical climate.

5. The Hutt Lagoon, also known as the Pink Lake, is a naturally occurring body of water that turns pink due to the high concentration of algae in the water.

6. The Coral Coast region is home to over 50 species of sharks, including the famous tiger shark and hammerhead shark.

7. The Abrolhos Islands, located just off the coast, are made up of over 120 islands and are home to an abundance of marine life and shipwrecks.

8. The Coral Coast region is also a popular spot for surfing, with some of the world's best breaks located along the coast.

9. The town of Exmouth, located at the northern end of the Coral Coast region, is home to the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, which was built in 1912 and offers stunning views of the coastline.
